Key performance areas
Preparation of food and sales
Prepare and sell food and related products to learners, parents and teachers.
Assist in the preparation of cooked/warm foods when required.
Ensure sales are processed correctly and money is handled with care.
Provide input on product sales to the Cafeteria Supervisor.
Act as an ambassador when dealing with learners, staff, or the public.
Assist with special events as needed.
Cleaning, health and safety
Maintain clean workspaces and equipment.
Wear appropriate attire when handling food.
Support the Cafeteria Supervisor with health, safety, and hygiene requirements.
Adhere to all health and safety standards.
Qualifications, experience and skills
Minimum requirement: Grade 12 (Matric).
Advantageous: Formal cooking qualification.
Minimum of 1 year experience as a Cafeteria/Tuck Shop Assistant.
Skills: Food hygiene, health and safety, food preparation, numerical skills, time keeping.
Behavioural attributes: Patience, interpersonal skills, attention to detail, adaptability, proactivity, observant, security minded, strong work ethic.
