Job Responsibilities
Handle cash, checks, and other forms of payment from paying patrons, verify eligibility, and process transactions.
Collect payments in accordance with established meal rates published in the General Mess Quarterly Notice 7330.
Obtain required patron signatures and complete DoD Form 1544 Cash Meal Payment Book for each meal period.
Accurately document all cash collected during each meal period in the NAVSUP Form 470 Cash Receipt Book.
Prepare deposits and secure cash and equivalents by properly bagging and depositing funds along with the Daily Activity Report (DAR) in the MWR central cashier's night depository or Central Cashier cage, depending on the situation.
Complete DoD Form 1131 Cash Collection Voucher for each deposit and transfer it to a designated Government account accurately.
Maintain accurate ÃÂïÃÂìÃÂÃÂnancial records, receipts, and reports per contractual requirements.
Perform routine checks on daily transactions to verify accuracy and compliance with established procedures.
Provide excellent customer service by communicating ÃÂïÃÂìÃÂÃÂuently and clearly in English with patrons, responding to inquiries, processing transactions, and resolving concerns in an enthusiastic, responsive, and professional manner.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned that are consistent with the nature and level of the position.
Required QualiÃÂïÃÂìÃÂÃÂcations
High school diploma or equivalent.
At least 1-2 years of experience in a cashier, accounting, or financial services role.
ProÃÂïÃÂìÃÂÃÂciency in handling cash transactions and maintaining accurate documentation.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail for maintaining ÃÂïÃÂìÃÂÃÂnancial accuracy and adhering to standardized payment processes.
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patrons from diverse backgrounds.
Must be able to successfully complete and maintain all required training and certiÃÂïÃÂìÃÂÃÂcations, including Customer Service, Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), and First Aid training, with annual re certiÃÂïÃÂìÃÂÃÂcation as required.
Must be in possession of a valid passport and be able to travel internationally.
Passport must be valid for a minimum of one (1) year or more at the time of hiring.
Ability to obtain country-speciÃÂïÃÂìÃÂàc visas per the U.S. Department of State Foreign
Clearance Guide.
Ability to successfully pass contract medical requirements and maintain compliance for the duration of deployment.
Must be able to obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization.
Must read, speak, and comprehend English to the extent that they can perform the contract requirements and comply with installation emergency procedures.
