Job Summary
Custom Gifts & Designs (CGD) is looking for a responsible, observant, and trustworthy CCTV Monitoring Officer to join our team.
The CCTV Monitoring Officer will be responsible for continuously monitoring CCTV cameras across CGD premises, identifying suspicious activities, protecting company assets and staff, maintaining CCTV records, and promptly reporting security concerns to Management.
Key Responsibilities
Monitor CCTV cameras continuously during working hours.
Identify and report suspicious activities, theft, unauthorized access, and other security concerns.
Maintain accurate CCTV logbooks and daily monitoring records.
Prepare incident and handover reports.
Maintain proper records of CCTV drives and ensure they are safely stored.
Retrieve and preserve CCTV footage when authorized by Management.
Maintain strict confidentiality of CCTV footage and security information.
Monitor CCTV equipment and report faults promptly.
Carry out basic troubleshooting and minor repairs on CCTV-related gadgets where possible.
Ensure the CCTV room remains secure and accessible only to authorized personnel.
Requirements
HND or B.Sc Degree from a recognized institution.
Previous CCTV monitoring or security experience is an advantage.
Strong observation and concentration skills.
Basic computer skills.
Ability to monitor multiple camera feeds.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Good record-keeping and reporting skills.
High level of integrity, confidentiality, and responsibility.
Ability to remain alert and attentive for extended periods.
Basic knowledge of CCTV equipment and troubleshooting is an advantage.
Must be disciplined, punctual, and dependable.
Staff Conduct
The successful candidate must:
Maintain strict confidentiality at all times.
Not share, copy, photograph, or transfer CCTV footage without authorization.
Not allow unauthorized persons into the CCTV room.
Not sleep or engage in activities that affect CCTV monitoring.
Avoid personal phone use while actively monitoring CCTV, except for official duties or emergencies.
Follow all CGD security procedures and Management instructions.
