REQUIREMENTS FOR APPOINTMENT
To qualify for appointment as Chairperson of the NACOSTI Board, the applicant must meet the following criteria:
Hold an earned doctorate degree from a University recognised in Kenya;
Be an eminent scientist;
Be capable of contribution to science, technology and innovation;
Have at least fifteen (15) years experience in leadership and management of public or private institutions;
Be a person of high moral character and integrity in accordance with Chapter Six of the Constitution;
Not be serving in the Public Service;
Not be serving as a chairperson in a board of another public entity; and
Not a member in more than one (1) board of a public entity
