Key Responsibilities:


Prepare and present high-quality pastries and desserts in accordance with company standards and recipes
Assist in menu planning and development, taking into consideration dietary restrictions and guest preferences
Oversee and manage the pastry station, ensuring cleanliness, organization, and efficiency
Train and supervise junior pastry chefs and kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to maintain high standards
Maintain inventory and order supplies as needed to ensure a well-stocked and functioning pastry station
Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations at all times
Collaborate with other chefs and kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations and timely service
Continuously strive to improve and innovate pastry offerings, keeping up with industry trends and guest feedback
Adhere to company policies and procedures, including but not limited to attendance, punctuality, and grooming standards


Qualifications:


Minimum of 2 years experience as a Pastry Chef or Chef De Partie (Pastry) in a high-volume, fine dining establishment
Culinary degree or equivalent certification preferred
Strong knowledge of pastry techniques, ingredients, and flavor combinations
Experience with menu planning and recipe development
Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
Excellent communication and leadership skills
High attention to detail and organization
Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Must be able to pass a background check and obtain necessary certifications for working on a cruise ship
