Job Purpose
The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) is responsible for providing strategic leadership and overall direction to the company, driving sustainable growth, operational excellence, and long-term value creation.
He is accountable for delivering sustained enterprise growth, profitability, and long-term shareholder value for the organization.
The role is strictly performance-bound, with full responsibility for translating Board-approved strategy into measurable financial, operational, and market outcomes.
Working closely with the Board of Directors, the CEO will provide strategic insight, ensure transparent reporting, and uphold the highest standards of integrity, accountability, and corporate governance while delivering on the Company's strategic objectives.
The CEO is expected to drive enterprise success by fostering strong executive alignment, cross- functional collaboration, and shared accountability, ensuring the organization operates as a cohesive and high-performing entity capable of ompeting effectively within the Nigerian and global technology landscape.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Growth Delivery:
Develop and implement the Company's long and short-term vision, strategy, and business plans to achieve sustainable growth and market leadership.
Drive execution of Board-approved strategy with clearly defined and measurable outcomes.
Identify and pursue growth opportunities across core and emerging technology sectors and digital solutions markets.
Strengthen the organization's competitive positioning and market relevance
Financial Performance & Accountability:
Lead financial planning, budgeting, and performance management to ensure profitability and financial sustainability.
Own enterprise-wide financial outcomes, including revenue growth, profitability, and value creation.
Ensure disciplined financial performance aligned with the expectations of the board.
Guide strategic financial decisions based on performance insights, government policies and market realities.
Strategy Execution Oversight:
Ensure effective translation of strategy into execution through the management leadership team.
Maintain visibility over enterprise performance using defined metrics and reporting structures.
Intervene at a strategic level where performance deviates from agreed targets.
Operational Oversight (Strategic Level):
Oversee day-to-day operations of the Company, ensuring efficiency, effectiveness, and alignment with strategic objectives.
Provide high-level oversight to ensure operational efficiency, scalability, and alignment with strategic objectives.
Identify systemic performance issues and drive corrective actions.
Keep a clear focus on outcomes to achieve defined business objectives.
Technology & Innovation Direction:
Guide the organization's technology direction in alignment with corporate strategy.
Ensure continued relevance and competitiveness in a rapidly evolving technology
landscape.
Evaluate innovation opportunities based on scalability, impact, and return (ROI) potential.
Stakeholder & Market Leadership:
Represent the organization at the highest levels with credibility and authority.
Build and maintain strategic partnerships that drive business growth.
Strengthen brand positioning and stakeholder confidence.
Governance, Risk & Board Engagement:
Operate within a clearly defined governance framework with strong Board oversight.
Ensure transparency in performance reporting, risk exposure, and strategic execution.
Maintain alignment with Board expectations, with clear accountability for outcomes.
Function in an advisory capacity to the board of directors. .
Management Leadership & Alignment:
Lead and align the management team toward delivery of strategic priorities.
Drive a culture of accountability, performance, and measurable results.
Ensure leadership effectiveness through delegation, oversight and performance enforcement.
Risk Management and Compliance:
Establish and maintain robust risk management frameworks to identify, assess, and mitigate business risks.
Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards, including data protection, cybersecurity, corporate governance requirements, etc.
Promote a strong culture of ethics, integrity, and accountability across the organization.
Qualifications & Educational Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in a relevant or related field with 15 - 20 years' experience, including 5 - 10 years in senior leadership roles.
MBA or relevant postgraduate qualification (added advantage).
Proven track record of leading and scaling a technology-driven organization.
Strong understanding of the Nigerian and global technology and business landscape.
Demonstrated experience leading teams, ideally demonstrating strong leadership
