Job Summary:
The Chief Investment Officer (CIO) will be responsible for overseeing and guiding the firm's investment strategies, AuM growth, portfolio management, and research initiatives. This senior executive will lead the investment team, ensuring alignment with the company's objectives while optimizing risk-adjusted returns for our clients. The Chief Investment Officer Oversees financial and commercial risk, present selected transactions to the Fund's Advisory Committee.
Sales: Build the firm's Assets Under Management through strategic networks and relationships.
Investment Strategy: Develop and implement the firm's investment strategy across various asset classes.
Familiarise with the Business Plan and should demonstrate ability to execute the Business Plan of the Fund
Serve as the senior investment executive and expert in all aspects of Investment and Portfolio Management for the Fund, from 'deal-flow to execution
Team Leadership: Lead and develop a high-performing investment team, fostering a culture of results and deliverables tracking.
Client Engagement: Work closely with HNI clients to understand their needs, provide strategic advice, and ensure high levels of satisfaction.
Performance Reporting: Regularly report to the CEO and Board of Directors on investment performance, strategy execution, and market conditions.
Serve as a member of the Investment Committee and provide sound and fully supported recommendations and advice on the investment mandates as well as execute formulated investment strategy by sourcing and underwriting transactions
Strategic Partnerships: Establish and maintain relationships with external partners to enhance the firm's investment capabilities.
Ensure that the activities of the Fund are in compliance with the framework and guidelines instituted or approved by the Project Parties and in accordance with the applicable law and regulations
Compliance: Ensure all investment activities comply with regulatory requirements and the firm's ethical standards.
Innovation: Identify and explore new investment opportunities, including emerging markets, technologies, and alternative investments.
Qualification:
Minimum of 8 years of experience in investment management, with a proven track record in portfolio management and investment strategy.
A degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field. An advanced degre
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex investment concepts to a diverse audience.
Experience in leading Fund Managers and driving financial projects.
Deep understanding of investment regulations and compliance standards (MBA, CFA, or equivalent) is desirable.
