Job Description
Carrying out basic survey field assignments-mapping and establishing survey controls
Undertaking small and medium area cadastral, topographical surveys, sub-divisional schemes, site and general engineering surveys
Undertaking preliminary quality control of cadastral and general boundary surveys
Searching for and compiling of required survey data information from relevant government institution
Carrying out field observations using various survey equipment e.g. automatic level, total station and global positioning system (gps)
Processing of filed survey data
Creating maps, plans and drawings
Preparation of field survey reports
Maintenance of survey instruments.
Requirements & Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in any of the following disciplines: - land surveying and photogrammetry, geomatics, geomatic engineering, technology in geomatics, technology in geo-informatics, geo-spatial engineering, philosophy in technology (survey) or equivalent qualifications from a recognized institution
Affiliate/associate membership of the institution of surveyors of kenya (isk) (land surveyors or engineering surveyors chapter)
Valid practicing certificate from lands surveyor's board (lsb) of kenya
A certificate in computer application skills
Meets the requirements of chapter six of the constitution of kenya, 2010
