The COO oversees end-to-end operations across all departments, ensuring safe, efficient, and profitable operational performance. The role translates strategy into execution, drives continuous improvement, and aligns performance with production targets and client expectations.

Key Responsibilities:


Develop and implement the company's overall operational strategy in alignment with corporate goals.
Identify new business opportunities and operational synergies to expand market share and revenue streams
collaborate with the executive team to attract foreign investors by showcasing operational capabilities, growth potential, and return on investment.
Oversee planning, execution, and optimization of mining sites, dredging units, and sales operations.
Lead operational initiatives that open new markets, increase production capacity, and optimize resource utilization.
Conduct feasibility and cost-benefit analyses for proposed capital investments (e.g., dredgers, mining equipment) and operational changes.
Monitor site productivity and profitability by project, product line (e.g., sand, aggregates, minerals), and operational unit.
Manage and control direct and indirect operational costs, including fuel, labour, equipment maintenance, transport, and processing.
Track key operational metrics (e.g., cost per cubic meter dredged, cost per ton mined, recovery rates, and production yields).
Identify and implement measures to reduce wastage, improve recovery rates, and maximize output efficiency.
Oversee preparation of operational performance reports, KPIs, and variance analyses for management decision-making.
Ensure accurate reporting of stock levels, material movement, and output from dredging and mining operations.
Enforce adherence to operational policies, safety standards, environmental regulations, and industry best practices.
Coordinate and support internal and external inspections, audits, and compliance processes (e.g., mining licenses, environmental levies).
Develop and implement operational procedures specific to dredging and mining activities.
Collaborate closely with site managers, supervisors, procurement, logistics, finance, and HSE teams to ensure operational and financial alignment.
Liaise with regulatory authorities, community stakeholders, and industry bodies as needed.
Provide strategic operational updates and recommendations to senior management and the board.
Lead, mentor, and develop the operations team to achieve excellence and continuous improvement.
