Role Overview


The Chief Operating Officer (COO) is responsible for leading the daily operations across the company's core business streams: Engineering Technology, Training, Consulting, and Outsourcing.
This role requires a strategic and execution-driven leader who can integrate service delivery, product development, and client management while driving operational excellence, scalability, and profitability across all business units.


Key Responsibilities
Operational Leadership:


Provide end-to-end oversight across all business streams:
Engineering Technology (software solutions, implementation, support)
Training (professional development, technical and corporate learning programs)
Consulting (business, HR, and engineering advisory services)
Outsourcing (HR outsourcing, workforce management, and talent solutions)
Translate corporate strategy into actionable operational plans and KPIs
Ensure efficiency, quality delivery, and scalability across all service lines
Align processes and resources to support growth across diverse business streams.


Business Growth & Strategy Execution:


Partner with the CEO to execute company-wide strategy across multiple business streams
Identify and develop new market opportunities in:
Engineering and technology solutions
Professional training and capacity development
Consulting and advisory services
Outsourcing and managed services
Enhance and diversify service offerings and product portfolios
Drive pricing strategies, revenue growth, and margin optimization.


Client Delivery & Experience:


Ensure consistent, high-quality delivery across:
Engineering technology solutions (implementation, integration, lifecycle support)
Training programs (curriculum delivery, certification, client outcomes)
Consulting engagements (strategy, HR, engineering advisory)
Outsourcing services (workforce efficiency, compliance, service excellence)
Build systems to drive client satisfaction, retention, and account growth
Manage key client relationships and resolve escalations effectively
Strengthen cross-selling and upselling across business streams.


Process Optimization & Systems:


Design and implement scalable operating frameworks, SOPs, and governance models
Drive digital transformation across all business functions
Implement and optimize systems for:
Project and program management
Learning management systems (LMS) for training delivery
HR service delivery and outsourcing operations
Software/product lifecycle management (Agile, DevOps)
Improve operational efficiency through automation and process standardization.


Team Leadership & Culture:


Lead and integrate cross-functional teams including:
Engineers and developers
Trainers and instructional designers
Consultants and advisors
Operations and outsourcing teams
Foster a high-performance, accountable, and innovative culture
Build leadership capacity and drive succession planning
Encourage collaboration across diverse service lines.


Financial & Performance Management:


Own operational budgets and drive cost optimization initiatives
Monitor profitability across:
Engineering technology products and services
Training programs
Consulting engagements
Outsourcing contracts
Track and report performance through KPIs and dashboards
Ensure strong cost control, revenue growth, and margin expansion.


Compliance & Risk Management:


Ensure compliance with:
Labor laws and outsourcing regulations
Data protection and privacy standards
Industry-specific engineering and consulting regulations
Mitigate operational and delivery risks across all business units
Maintain quality assurance standards and governance frameworks.

Revenue growth across all business streams
Operational margins and profitability
Client satisfaction (NPS, retention, repeat business)
Delivery performance (timelines, quality, outcomes)

Key Requirements
Education:


Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Engineering, or related field
MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred


Experience:


Minimum of 15+ years of experience in:
Operations leadership across multi-service organizations
Engineering technology, software services, or SaaS environments
Consulting, training, or outsourcing businesses
Proven experience scaling integrated or multi-stream service organizations

Engineering technology and software delivery (Agile, DevOps, product lifecycle)
