Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Chief People Officer to lead the Human Resources function at an executive level.
The successful candidate will be responsible for driving the overall people strategy, aligning HR practices with organisational objectives, and ensuring the effective management of talent, performance, compliance, and organisational development.
The role forms part of the executive leadership team and plays a critical role in shaping organisational culture, workforce capability, and long-term business sustainability.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide strategic HR leadership as part of the executive committee and contribute to overall business performance
Develop and implement integrated HR strategies aligned with organisational goals
Oversee recruitment, retention, succession planning, performance management, and learning and development
Act as a strategic advisor to executive leadership on HR, people, and organisational matters
Ensure effective HR governance, policy development, and compliance with labour legislation and audit requirements
Lead HR sub-functions and ensure alignment across all HR disciplines including talent management, employee relations, and HR systems
Drive organisational effectiveness, workforce planning, and capability development
Manage HR budgets, cost control, and resource optimisation
Strengthen stakeholder relationships across executive leadership, employees, and external partners
Drive employee engagement, culture development, and service excellence across the organisation
Oversee HR reporting, analytics, and business intelligence to support strategic decision-making
REQUIREMENTS
Master's Degree in Human Resource Management, Business, or equivalent
MBA (advantageous)
Minimum 10 years' HR experience in a complex organisational environment
3 - 5 years' experience in a senior executive or leadership HR role
Strong experience in strategic HR management, organisational development, and workforce planning
Solid understanding of labour legislation, corporate governance, and compliance frameworks
Strong financial acumen and budget management experience
Experience in healthcare or large-scale operational environments (advantageous)
Expertise in HR strategy, talent management, performance management, and employee relations
Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and executive communication skills
Ability to operate at board and EXCO level
