REQUIREMENTS :


A recognized three-year Bachelors' degree/National Diploma in Supply Chain Management/ Purchasing Management/ Public Management/ Public Administration/ Business Management/ Logistics Management (or equivalent qualification).
A minimum of 1-2 years' work experience in Demand and Acquisition Management. Knowledge of the PFMA, PPPFA, SCM guidelines, Treasury Regulations, Supply Chain Framework Act, and B-BBEE Act. Insight knowledge of procurement procedures. Good interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. Customer relationship and change management skills.
Ability to develop solutions to a variety of problems in line with SCM guidelines and departmental policies (decision-making) and effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels within the Department. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Analytical, planning and organising skills. A valid driver's licence.


DUTIES :


Receive requisitions for goods and services. Check whether all the relevant documents are attached. Record all requisitions received in a register. Distribute as per Supply Chain Delegations of authority.
Process requisitions for goods and services. Capture and register all requisitions on Request for Quotations (RFQ) Register. Assist end users with timeous development of the specifications/ terms of reference for sourcing of quotations.
Assist end users with proper completion of requisitions. Source suppliers from CSD on a rotation basis and ensure compliance with demand & acquisition management principles. Coordinate briefing sessions.
Monitor publication of terms of reference/specifications for RFQ's. Conduct evaluation for RFQ's with technical functionality criteria. Prepare management information, reports, statistics, and reporting on procurement to management. Supervision of staff.
N.B. All shortlisted candidates will be required to complete a relevant competency exercise.
