Job Purpose:
The Civil Engineer is responsible for the design, rehabilitation, and supervision of health facility infrastructure to ensure safe, functional, and accessible environments for life-saving service delivery. The role directly contributes to life-saving outcomes by enabling uninterrupted access to critical healthcare services.
Responsibilities:
1.Infrastructure Assessment and Design
2. Project Implementation and Supervision
3. Quality Assurance and Compliance
.4. Coordination and Reporting
5. Risk Management
Identify and mitigate operational risks (e.g., access constraints, weather impacts).
Ensure contingency planning for timely completion of critical work.
Position Requirement:
Education
Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
Minimum 3–5 years of experience in construction or rehabilitation, preferably in humanitarian settings.
Experience in health facility construction is an asset.
Competence
Strong technical and project management skills
Ability to work across multiple locations efficiently
Understanding of life-saving humanitarian priorities
Good coordination and communication skills
Language
Mission language is essential. Local working language desirable
