Job Summary
The Cleaning Operative is responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and presentation across designated areas, ensuring a safe, sanitary, and welcoming environment forstaffand visitors at all times.
Key Responsibilities
Clean and maintain assigned areas including lounges, offices, restrooms, walkways, and public spaces
Carry out routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and waste removal
Use cleaning chemicals, tools, and equipment safely and in line with approved procedures
Respond promptly to spillages, high-traffic cleaning needs, and ad-hoc cleaning requests
Follow health, safety, and hygiene standards, including security and access protocols
Report maintenance issues, damages, or safety hazards to supervisors
Work assigned shifts, including nights, weekends, and public holidays as required
Requirements
Minimum of basic education; ability to read simple instructions
Prior cleaning or janitorial experience is an advantage but not mandatory
Physically fit and able to stand, walk, bend, and lift during shifts
Good attitude, reliability, and willingness to work in a structured environment
Ability to comply with security and background screening requirements
