Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cluster Finance Manager to join our team in Johannesburg, South Africa. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing financial operations across multiple countries in the region, ensuring compliance, driving financial performance, and supporting strategic decision-making.
Lead and manage the finance function for a cluster of hotels, providing strategic financial guidance to senior management
Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with organizational goals and objectives
Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual statements
Manage budgeting and forecasting processes, analyzing variances and providing insights to improve financial performance
Ensure compliance with local and international financial regulations, tax laws, and reporting standards
Implement and maintain robust internal control systems to safeguard company assets
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive process improvements and optimize financial operations
Mentor and develop finance team members, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement
Identify and mitigate financial risks, implementing appropriate risk management strategies
Participate in mergers, acquisitions, and other strategic initiatives, providing financial due diligence and analysis
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA) or Finance preferred
Professional certification such as CPA, CA, or ACCA
Minimum 7-10 years of experience in finance management, with a proven track record of success in leadership roles
Strong experience in managing finance teams and multi-country financial operations
Expert knowledge of financial analysis, reporting, budgeting, and forecasting
Proficiency in financial software and advanced Excel skills
In-depth understanding of international financial reporting standards (IFRS)
Knowledge of local tax laws and regulations in African countries
Experience in corporate finance within emerging markets
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail
Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of the organization
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively
Willingness to travel within the cluster region as required
