The Team Leader will be incharge of handling day to day management of Collections Account Managers(ACMs), acting as the middle point between these staff and the senior Collections management.

Motivate and inspire team members, fostering a sense of collaboration and accountability.
Transform a group of individuals into a cohesive and high-performing team where each member feels valued and supported.
Identify and leverage team members' strengths and suggest scope for improvement.
Adapt to changing situations and make strategic decisions to ensure the team's success.


Duties & Responsibilities


Clearly communicate goals to the team.
Leading/coordinating the collections team in a hands-on manner, on the day to day activities/work streams.
Embedding a culture of Treating Customers Fairly in the Collections Department
Delegating and overseeing collections work is undertaken, making sure ACMs are working Efficiently and Effectively.
Incharge of all collections administration work ensuring completion properly and on time.
Training/coaching the collections Team to ensure they achieve the desired results.
Proactively monitor customer repayment performance for the portfolio allocated, delinquency, and customer experience.
Identify and address conflicts early, facilitating discussions and finding satisfactory solutions for all parties involved.
Recognise and reward good performance, provide feedback and encourage professional development


Required skills and qualifications


Minimum of (3) three years of experience in a leadership or management role.
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant software programs.
Knowledge of the industry's best practices and trends for team management.


Preferred skills and qualifications


Bachelor degree or Diploma in a relevant field.
Excellent communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
Strong leadership and organisational skills.
Excellent analytical and decision-making acumen
