ROLE SUMMARY:
To inspire a love for learning and for the world we live in
To adopt a holistic view to children in their care, promoting the general progress and well-being of individuals and of any class or group assigned to them.
To create a positive learning environment and motivate children to achieve their full potential
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Supporting Roles
Attendance at all formal school events as indicated by the Head of the College.
Organisation of field trips.
Organising guest speakers and presenters as relates to the field of Design and Technology
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
Have a relevant degree and teaching qualification
Be registered with SACE
Have a strong connection with teenagers
Have proven excellence in teaching Design
Be energetic and proactive
Exhibit strong communication skills
Enjoy supporting and contributing to the success of teams
Live with high standards and seek consistent improvement over time.
Have excellent administration skills and a ready attention to detail.
(Preferably) have experience of teaching the IEB curriculum
Be ready to contribute to the extra-mural (afternoon) programme.
Be willing to organise / attend camps as per school requirements
Be available for Regional and National conferences or other training as required
Have experience or, or a willingness to join IEB marking and moderation panels.
