Commercial Manager for Gobel Marine to oversee the commercial operations of Gobel Ship and manage vessel chartering activities across the Group, ensuring optimal utilization and revenue generation.
Responsibilities
Lead the commercial management of Gobel Ship operations.
Drive business development and revenue growth for the marine business.
Manage vessel chartering activities across the Group.
Negotiate and oversee commercial contracts and agreements.
Develop and maintain relationships with clients, brokers, and key stakeholders.
Monitor market trends and provide strategic commercial insights to management.
Ensure compliance with contractual, commercial, and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Maritime Studies, Business Administration, Economics, or related field.
7 - 10 years of experience in commercial shipping, vessel chartering, or marine operations.
Strong knowledge of chartering practices, freight markets, and maritime regulations.
Proven experience in contract negotiation and commercial deal structuring.
Strong business development and stakeholder management skills.
Excellent analytical, financial, and market assessment abilities.
Ability to manage multiple vessel operations and commercial portfolios.
Strong communication, leadership, and decision-making skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant shipping/commercial management tools.
Professional certification in shipping/maritime (e.g., ICS, Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers) is an added advantage.
