Role Summary
The Commercial Operator is responsible for coordinating and supporting all commercial and operational activities related to Ship-to-Ship (STS) operations. The role ensures effective communication between TFL vessels, customer tankers, internal teams, and external stakeholders before, during, and after operations, while maintaining accurate reporting, documentation, and compliance with safety and environmental standards.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Coordination
Maintain daily communication with TFL vessels and customer tankers before and during STS operations.
Coordinate vessel movements, timings, ETAs, itineraries, and operational plans.
Acknowledge and accept client nominations and manage STS questionnaires and GA plans.
Liaise with TF crafts for fendering and defendering operations.
Coordinate with vessels, clients, and agents for personnel transfers.
Provide continuous operational updates, including weather information, to all stakeholders.
Reporting and Documentation
Complete daily data entry, noon reports, designated worksheets, and daily operational reports.
Prepare mooring plans for Masters.
Ensure proper filing and management of fender and hose certificates.
Issue post-operation reports and collect feedback on fender performance.
Maintain organised and accurate electronic and paper records.
Vetting, Compliance, and Safety
Manage vetting activities, documentation exchanges, and approvals.
Ensure strict adherence to company safety, environmental, and operational procedures.
Ensure accurate data entry into company systems at all times.
Promptly report incidents and claims and forward all supporting documentation to management.
Stakeholder Collaboration and Continuous Improvement
Liaise effectively with clients, vessels, agents, and global operations teams.
Participate in daily handover meetings to ensure continuity of operations.
Identify opportunities for operational and process improvements.
Follow company procurement policies and procedures.
Participate in industry seminars and training programmes as part of ongoing professional development.
Requirements
Candidate Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics, or a related discipline.
Proven experience in an analytical role, preferably within maritime, shipping, or logistics industries.
Strong proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, SQL, and data visualization software.
Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a formal tone suitable for corporate environments.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team and manage multiple priorities effectively.

Close attention to detail and accuracy in reporting and documentation.

Sound understanding of STS operations, marine operations, and safety procedures.
