About the Role
Our client is seeking a strategic, creative, and impact-driven Communications & Advocacy Officer to lead communications, advocacy, and public engagement efforts.
This role is critical to shaping public discourse, strengthening stakeholder and donor engagement, and driving awareness initiatives that influence policy, reduce stigma, and improve access to care.

Key Responsibilities
Lead internal and external communication planning, including digital, print, and media outreach
Produce high-quality content such as press releases, articles, blogs, impact stories, advocacy briefs, and social media posts.
Coordinate media engagements, interviews, press conferences, and public appearances.
Design and implement advocacy campaigns aimed at influencing public policy, reducing stigma, and improving access to Parkinson's care.
Plan and coordinate events related to Parkinson's disease awareness, advocacy, and fundraising.
Monitor the effectiveness of communication, advocacy, and fundraising strategies using data and feedback.
Collaborate with fundraising and program teams to develop compelling donor appeals, case stories, and campaign materials.
Cultivate and maintain relationships with donors, sponsors, and supporters through consistent and transparent communication.
Qualifications & Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Communications, PR, Journalism, Marketing, or related field
3 - 5 years in communications, public relations, or advocacy roles
Experience in NGO, healthcare, or development sector is preferred
Demonstrated experience in media relations, digital communications, and advocacy campaigns.
Core Skills:
Excellent writing, editing, and storytelling skills
Strong digital communication and social media management experience
Proven media relations and stakeholder engagement skills
Ability to translate complex issues into clear, compelling messaging
Strong organizational, analytical, and multitasking abilities.
