Key Responsibilities
Provide quality primary healthcare services to patients.
Conduct patient assessments, including checking and recording vital signs.
Assist with patient counselling and health education.
Administer medications and treatments within the scope of practice.
Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
Ensure compliance with infection prevention and control standards.
Work collaboratively with the pharmacy and other healthcare professionals to deliver quality patient care.
Requirements
Minimum qualification of OND in Community Health.
Must possess a valid practicing licence as a Community Health Extension Worker (CHEW).
2 - 3 years' relevant work experience in a community pharmacy, primary healthcare centre, or similar healthcare setting.
Sound knowledge of primary healthcare services, patient care, and basic clinical procedures.
Ability to take and document vital signs, provide basic first aid, administer medications as prescribed, and support patient education.
Good communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
Must be professional, compassionate, and able to work with minimal supervision.
