As Compliance Manager, you will play a pivotal role in safeguarding our business by ensuring adherence to legislation, internal policies, and sound credit practices.
You will oversee critical credit management processes, manage high-risk and recovery cases, and collaborate with key internal and external stakeholders. Requirements
Grade 12 or NQF4
Relevant BCom Degree (Risk Management, Law, Financial Management, Diploma in Paralegal Services etc.) will serve as recommendation
A legal background/qualification will be advantageous
At least 5-year's proven experience within a similar role within a banking- or agribusiness environment
Proficient in the MS Office package
Relevant background clearance and checks will be done (ITC and Criminal)
Duties and Responsibilities
Execution and monitoring of conditions as stipulated in credit approvals
Review surety documentation before and after agreement execution
Instruct Lawyers regarding the preparation and registration of sureties
Capture and maintain surety information on VKB's internal systems
Review, validate, and follow up on credit agreements
Ensure accurate capturing of application data on VKB's internal system
Maintain and update client information on VKB systems as required
Manage the review of incoming and outgoing session agreements
Maintain and Update of Shareholder's information on VKBs internal systems
Oversee and reconcile Control Accounts
Ensure full compliance with relevant legislation, policies and internal procedures within the VKB Group
Provide support to Credit Managers and Credit Assistants in resolving customer related queries
Ensure POPI Act Compliance regarding the appointment of Assignees from VKB's Shareholders
Verify and assess Membership Applications
Reporting of deviations and exceptions to the Senior Credit Manager
Providing credit solutions for high-risk cases
In support to the Senior Credit Manager, supervise and mentor Credit Assistants, input and revise of established limits, revision and approval of journals, revision and approval of EFT transactions
Staying informed of industry changes and communicate updates within the department.
