Duties and responsibilities
The specific duties and responsibilities will entail:
Monitoring compliance by political parties with the Constitution, the Political Parties Act and the Code of Conduct for Political Parties at the constituency level;
Liaising with relevant government agencies on the implementation of Code of Conduct for Political Parties;
Reporting findings arising during campaigns and elections, including election petitions, to the County Monitor;
Sensitizing political parties and candidates on the Code of Conduct for Political Parties and other relevant laws; and
Preparing reports on the pre-election, election and post-election activities of political parties.
Person Specification
For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have: -
A Bachelors' degree in any of the following fields: Laws, Public Administration, Education, Political Science or its equivalent from a recognized institution;
Certificate in computer applications;
Be a Kenyan citizen;
Have analytical skills;
Be competent in report writing;
Be willing to work anywhere within Kenya;
Must be a resident of the Constituency they wish to work in; and
Met the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution
