Position Summary
The Store Construction Manager is responsible for the overall planning, design, fit-out, and project management of the company's standard retail showrooms. The role oversees the entire store construction process—from planning and construction to final inspection and store opening—ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with the company's brand standards.
Key Responsibilities
Store Construction System & Standards Development
Develop and continuously improve the company's Showroom SI (Store Identity) Standards Manual, as well as design and renovation management procedures.
Oversee and optimize the store construction process, driving standardization and continuous improvement.
Establish engineering inspection and acceptance standards, as well as an after-sales response mechanism for completed projects.
End-to-End Project Management
Conduct site measurements and oversee showroom layout planning and space design.
Review and approve design concepts, construction drawings, material schedules, and renovation cost estimates.
Develop project schedules and monitor construction progress, quality, and compliance.
Organize project inspections and final acceptance to ensure delivery meets company brand standards.
Source suitable construction materials and suppliers based on the company's latest standards, ensuring materials comply with specifications and contractors execute work according to approved drawings.
Supplier & Contractor Management
Identify, evaluate, and manage qualified contractors and construction teams.
Coordinate contract execution and supervise contractors to ensure compliance with construction standards and project specifications.
Cost & Budget Management
Prepare and monitor project budgets to ensure effective cost control.
Review design modifications and material selections to manage and optimize project costs.
Cross-Functional Coordination & Team Management
Collaborate with the Sales, Marketing, and other internal departments to ensure effective communication and project coordination.
Lead the store construction team, including staff training, performance management, and development.
Qualifications
Education
Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred.
Experience
Minimum of 3 years' experience in retail showroom/store construction or project management.
Experience managing the fit-out or construction of 20 or more retail stores is highly preferred.
Technical Skills
Proficiency in AutoCAD is required.
Knowledge of 3D Max and Adobe Photoshop (Photoshop) is an added advantage.
Strong understanding of Brand VI (Visual Identity) and SI (Store Identity) systems, interior design principles, construction methods, and finishing works.
Demonstrated project management, budgeting, and cost control skills.
