Job Summary


The successful candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive eye care services, including performing surgeries and managing patients with various eye conditions.

Key Responsibilities


Conduct comprehensive eye examinations to detect vision problems, eye diseases, and other conditions.
Perform cataract surgeries and other eye surgeries with precision and care.
Diagnose and treat eye diseases, injuries, and other disorders of the eye
Provide pre- and post-operative care to surgical patients.
Educate patients on eye health and preventive measures.
Maintain detailed patient records and ensure all documentation is accurate and up-to-date.
Participate in community outreach programs to promote eye health awareness.
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide holistic patient care.


Education and Experience


Master Degree (MMED or Equivalent) in Ophthalmology.
Registration with the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Council (KMPDC).
Minimum 2 years of relevant experience as an ophthalmologist in a clinical setting.
Proven experience of performing at least 200 manual cataract surgeries.
Competence in performing other ophthalmology procedures.
