ROLE OVERVIEW


Cedar Africa Group is seeking a highly organised, detail-oriented, and proactive Consulting Operations & Project Intern to join our team. This role is designed for an emerging professional who wants to understand the inner workings of a professional services firm, gaining hands-on exposure to the administrative and operational functions that drive our consulting and training engagements.
The intern will focus on coordination, logistics, data organisation, and ensuring our consultants and facilitators have the resources and support they need to deliver exceptional client outcomes.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Advisory Assignment & Project Support


Deliverable Tracking: Maintain project trackers and milestone dashboards for active consulting engagements, ensuring timeline updates are captured accurately and escalated promptly.
Research & Data Gathering: Conduct desk research, industry benchmarking, and data gathering to support consulting teams during the diagnostic phases of projects.
Workshop & Focus Group Logistics: Coordinate logistics for client stakeholder interviews, focus groups, and co-creation workshops, including scheduling, invitation management, and distribution of pre-read materials.
Scribe & Synthesis Support: Attend client discovery sessions and internal project syncs to capture detailed notes, key themes, decisions, and action items for circulation to project teams.


Training Delivery & Logistics Coordination


Programme Readiness: Manage operational logistics for training programmes and executive sessions including preparing physical and digital materials and maintaining participant rosters.
Virtual Room Production: Serve as technical producer for online training sessions, managing breakout rooms, troubleshooting attendee issues, and monitoring participant engagement throughout.
Evaluations & Reporting: Administer post-advisory and post-training assessment surveys, compile raw data, and produce formatted summary reports on client satisfaction and feedback.


Knowledge Management & Information Administration


Workspace Maintenance: Maintain and organise internal digital filing systems (including SharePoint), ensuring client advisory artefacts, project templates, and archives are structured consistently and kept confidential.
Document Formatting: Ensure all client-facing presentations, advisory reports, and framework models are meticulously formatted, proofread, and aligned with Cedar Africa Group's branding guidelines.


CANDIDATE PROFILE & QUALIFICATIONS


Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Human Resources, Organisational Development, or a related field.
Technical Proficiency: Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint); experience with project management or collaboration tools is an advantage.
Attention to Detail: Consistently maintains accuracy, consistency, and high quality across formatting, writing, and information handling tasks.
Proactive Attitude: A self-starter who takes initiative, seeks clarification to ensure quality output, and approaches all tasks with professionalism and diligence.
Teamwork & Collaboration: Demonstrates a collaborative mindset, works effectively across teams, and contributes positively within a fast-paced, client-focused consulting environment.
