Job Summary
This role involves negotiating contracts with vendors, managing commercial agreements, and sourcing and pre-qualifying suitable suppliers.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement contract strategies aligned with business objectives
Manage end-to-end tender processes, including documentation and bidder evaluation
Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, including commercial terms and risk allocation
Coordinate contract execution, tracking, and compliance with timelines
Maintain accurate contract records, documentation, and reporting
Source, pre-qualify, and evaluate vendors and suppliers
Conduct supplier due diligence and comparative analysis of bids
Monitor vendor performance and support resolution of contractual issues
Oversee procurement processes from sourcing to delivery (procure-to-pay)
Ensure purchase orders align with budgets and agreed terms
Verify quality of goods/services and resolve discrepancies
Monitor inventory trends and support the availability of critical materials
Drive cost optimisation and ensure value-for-money procurement
Collaborate with internal teams to support operational and project needs
Person Specifications
Bachelor's degree/HND (CIPS or relevant certification is an advantage)
Minimum of 7 years' experience in contracts and procurement
Strong negotiation, analytical, and vendor management skills
