DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Strategic Leadership: Work directly with the Group CEO to translate the group's strategic vision into actionable operational plans and objectives. Drive the integration of operations across all business units to maximize efficiency and revenue.
Operational Oversight: Lead, manage, and optimize the operational functions of all the Group entities across all markets. This includes overseeing business processes, performance metrics, and operational budgets.
Team Management & Development: Provide inspirational leadership to the country and business unit managers. Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and high performance. Mentor and develop talent to build a strong operational leadership pipeline.
Process Improvement & Standardization: Identify, document and implement best practices and standardized operational procedures across all markets and business units to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance service delivery.
Financial & Performance Management: Monitor operational performance against key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial targets. Work with finance teams to manage operational budgets, analyze financial data, and provide insights to the CEO and the board.
Market & Cross-Functional Collaboration: Facilitate seamless communication and collaboration between different business units and markets. Ensure that operations support the commercial, creative, and strategic goals of each entity.
Risk Management & Compliance: Ensure all operations are conducted in compliance with local regulations, industry standards, and internal policies. Identify and mitigate operational risks across the group.
Travel: The role requires frequent travel to our operational markets in Uganda, Tanzania, Ghana, and Rwanda to conduct business reviews, meet with local teams, and assess market opportunities.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE:
15+ years' leadership experience, including at least 5 years in a senior operations role (COO, GM, MD, or equivalent).
Proven ability to run multi-market or multi-brand organizations across Africa or similar emerging markets.
Strong experience in media, entertainment, FMCG, or other brand-driven industries.

Financially savvy — confident managing budgets, P&Ls, and governance processes.
