Cook at Tsebo Solution

We are seeking an experienced and reliable Cook to join our catering team at a busy food manufacturing site in Randfontein. The successful candidate will be responsible for the preparation, cooking, and presentation of meals while ensuring compliance with food safety, hygiene, and quality standards.


Duties & Responsibilities


Prepare, cook, and present meals according to approved menus and recipes.
Ensure food is prepared and served in line with quality and portion control standards.
Maintain high standards of hygiene, health and safety, and food safety at all times.
Assist with stock receiving, storage, stock rotation, and stock counts.
Minimise food wastage and ensure efficient use of ingredients.
Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen, equipment, and work areas.
Follow all company policies, procedures, and operational standards.
Assist with serving meals when required.
Report equipment faults, shortages, and operational concerns to the supervisor.
Support the catering team to ensure smooth daily operations.
Must be willing to work overtime, weekends, and public holidays when operationally required.
Must be willing and able to work rotational day and night shifts.


Skills and Competencies


Ability to work in a high-volume, mass production kitchen environment.
Experience assisting with functions, events, and special catering requirements.
Good knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and HSE standards.
Ability to follow recipes, menus, and operational instructions accurately.
Strong time management and organisational skills.
Ability to work under pressure during peak service periods and functions.
Good teamwork and communication skills.
Attention to detail, especially in food quality and portion control.
Reliable, punctual, and committed to service delivery.
Minimum 2 years' experience as a Cook within a contract catering.


Qualifications


Grade 12 (Matric) advantageous.
Relevant Cookery, Catering, or Hospitality qualification advantageous.
