Duties and Responsibilities
Core Banking Operations Execution:
Process and monitor daily core banking transactions including account opening / maintenance, funds transfers, postings, and reconciliations.
Execute End-of-Day (EOD), End-of-Month (EOM), and End-of-Year (EOY) processes in line with defined procedures.
Ensure accuracy and completeness of all system entries and transactions.
System Monitoring & Support:
Monitor system performance and promptly escalate system issues or downtimes.
Provide first-level support for core banking system-related issues.
Liaise with IT support teams and vendors for issue resolution and system maintenance.
Reconciliation & Exception Handling:
Perform daily reconciliation of transactions, suspense accounts, and general ledger balances.
Investigate and resolve discrepancies, exceptions, and failed transactions within agreed timelines.
Maintain proper documentation for all resolved cases.
Compliance & Risk Control:
Ensure adherence to internal policies, operational guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
Identify operational risks and escalate potential control weaknesses.
Support audit processes by providing required documentation and implementing audit recommendations.
Process Improvement & Efficiency:
Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation within core banking operations.
Assist in the development and update of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Participate in system testing (UAT) for new features, upgrades, and product rollouts.
Reporting & Documentation:
Generate daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports.
Maintain accurate logs of transactions, issues, and resolutions.
Provide data and insights to support management decision-making.
Stakeholder Engagement:
Collaborate with internal teams such as Branch Operations, Digital Banking, Finance, and Risk.
Provide operational support for new product implementation and system changes.
Ensure effective communication of issues and resolutions to relevant stakeholders.
