Job Description
The Accountant (Cost Accounting) will support the finance function by providing accuratecost analysis, budgeting, reporting, and inventory valuation. This role ensures the integrity of cost-related financial data and supports operational and strategic decisionÃÂâÃÂÃÂÃÂÃÂmaking.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain and update standard costing models and cost allocation processes.
Perform cost variance analysis and recommend corrective actions.
Conduct inventory costing and reconciliation, including WIP.
Prepare landed cost calculations for imported materials.
Analyze production costs, waste, and efficiency metrics.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual cost reports.
Support financial statement preparation in line with IFRS.
Support close processes related to cost accruals and adjustments.
Contribute to budgeting and forecasting cycles.
Ensure compliance with internal controls and support audits.
Perform Ad-hoc tasks as delegated.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field with 3 - 5 years experience with minimum 2 years in cost accounting.
ICAN/ACCA is an added advantage.
Strong knowledge of IFRS
Proficiency in ERP systems
Advanced Excel skills.
Manufacturing Industry experience is an added advantage
