Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Cost Engineer/Estimator to provide cost estimating, cost control, forecasting, benchmarking, and commercial support for major oil & gas projects.
The ideal candidate will develop accurate project estimates, monitor project costs, analyze cost performance, and support project controls throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare detailed cost estimates, budgets, and project cost plans.
Develop and maintain estimating methodologies, cost databases, and benchmarking tools.
Monitor project costs, forecasts, and cash flow throughout project execution.
Perform cost analysis, variance analysis, and recommend corrective actions.
Prepare cost reports, project performance reports, and management dashboards.
Support tendering activities, bid evaluations, and commercial reviews.
Collaborate with Project Controls, Engineering, Procurement, and -Construction teams to ensure accurate cost tracking.
Identify project risks and opportunities impacting project costs.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
Minimum of 10 years' experience in cost estimating, cost control, forecasting, benchmarking, cost analysis, and reporting within the Oil & Gas industry.
Proven experience supporting Project Controls on large EPC/EPIC oil & gas projects.
Strong knowledge of estimating techniques, budgeting, earned value management (EVM), and cost forecasting.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and project control tools such as Primavera P6, MS Project, SAP, EcoSys, CostX, or similar software.
Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
