KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Follow up county advocacy champions on agreed actions, activity schedules, evidence collection and progress reporting
Maintain regular liaison with ward and sub-county agricultural officers, county departments and public extension structures.
Attend relevant county, partner and multi-stakeholder forums; document key decisions, opportunities and required follow-up.
Create practical linkages between advocacy champions, farmer groups and related programmes in agroecology, climate-smart agriculture, renewable energy, markets and finance.
Support recruitment, onboarding and engagement of new SOCAA members within the county.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Diploma or degree in Agriculture, Agribusiness.
Provide basic extension and advisory support to farmer. groups, including referrals, demonstrations and follow- up on adoption of relevant RA-PURE solutions. Maintain county stakeholder contacts and submit concise field updates, activity records, photos, case studies and emerging risks to the Advocacy Officer.
APPLICATION PACKAGE
Agricultural Extension, Rural Development, Community Development, Natural Resources or a related field.
At least two years of relevant experience in field extension, farmer mobilisation, project implementation, stakeholder engagement or advocacy support.
Resident within one of the counties in the cluster applied for, with strong working networks and demonstrated familiarity with the county.
Understanding of county government and agricultural extension structures; familiarity with agroecology. regenerative agriculture or renewable energy in agriculture is an advantage. Strong communication, facilitation, relationship management, record-keeping and report-writing skills. Ability to work independently, travel regularly within the county and use email, messaging applications and standard digital reporting tools. .
SOCAA membership is an advantage; qualified non- members should be willing to meet applicable.
