Job Purpose

The CPD Warehouse Supervisor is directly responsible for:


Provision of prompt and efficient supply of Parts to the outlets in order to satisfy both internal and external customers, to ensure the achievement of targets.


Main Responsibilities of the Job

Managerial/Supervisory


Coordinate general warehouse activities to ensure efficiency and effectiveness in warehouse operations;
Monitor the performance of the direct reports to ensure high motivation and performance.


Operational Responsibilities


Supervise picking, packing and dispatch of consignments to ensure lead times are met;
Carry out daily safety patrols to ensure full compliance with the CMK safety guidelines, and to recommend corrective actions for any deviations identified
Request for replenishment of various materials for packaging to ensure minimal stock outs;
Approve gate passes to courier companies collecting parts from Central Parts Depot to facilitate timely delivery of parts to customers, and to ensure only authorized courier companies conduct the deliveries;
Ensure the dispatch section and the whole warehouse is neatly arranged.
Ensure parts are not double binned and that there is no similar part in different bins.
Change bin locations in compliance with the CMK warehouse management guidelines;
Ensure parts dispatched are of the right quantities, in good condition, well packed and labelled.
Monitor ageing of stock transfer orders in SAP in order to take timely corrective action;
Supervise receiving operations;
Confirm warehouse denials and communicate to the requesting outlets to ensure timely steps are taken to address the denials;
Fill, submit and follow up on claims to transporters for damaged or lost parts in transit.
Supervise offloading of consignments delivered by the clearing agent from the trucks to ensure the consignments are stored safely in line with the CMK guidelines;
Resolve customer complaints in a timely manner to ensure high customer retention and satisfaction.
Participate in mid and end year stocktake to identify variances, conduct investigations on variances, and implement solutions to address the variances;
Monitor warehouse storage Kaizen activities to support continuous improvement;
Prepare accurate monthly reports on stocks to assist management in decision making on areas of improvement.
Any other duty assigned by your supervisor.


Knowledge, Skills & Experience

Minimum level of academic and professional qualification required to perform effectively in the role


Bachelor's Degree in Supply chain
Engineering or other relevant field from a recognized institution; or equivalent qualification
Minimum 5 years' experience in warehouse operations within a model in a reputable organization.
MS Excel for reporting and stock management
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
