Job Description
The Creative Manager ensures that all creative outputs align with the overarching creative strategy, meet required quality standards, and are delivered on time. They act as the bridge between strategic direction (Creative Leader) and execution (Senior Videographers, Mid Videographers, Art Directors, Senior Designers, Mid Designers, and the Copy team). The Creative Manager ensures efficient workflow management, provides creative direction, drives quality control, and fosters a positive and productive team culture.
Responsibilities
Creative Strategy Implementation:
Ensures the Creative Leader's strategy is executed effectively across all jobs through creative guidance and support.
Ensure all creative work aligns with campaign strategy, brand CI, KPIs, and objectives.
Partner with the Creative Leader to refine creative concepts and push creative excellence.
Manage creative reviews and ensure continuous creative optimisation based on learnings.
Studio Workflow Management:
Oversee daily studio operations, ensuring smooth workflow across all briefs.
Manage resource allocation across Art Directors, Designers, Video and copy ensuring balanced workloads.
Monitor timelines, production schedules, and deadlines, and escalate risks early.
Track progress of all jobs from briefing → concept → artwork → delivery.
Creative Leadership & Quality Control:
Provide creative direction and guidance on briefs, ensuring high-quality execution.
Conduct creative reviews before work is submitted to stakeholders or the Creative Leader.
Uphold brand CI, creative standards, and best practices across all outputs.
Coach and mentor the Design, Video and Copy teams to lift overall creative quality.
People Leadership & Team Culture:
Lead and support Art Direction Leads, videographers, designers and copywriters
Guide performance expectations, deliver continuous feedback, and support development plans.
Support a positive, collaborative team culture that encourages creative excellence.
Facilitate weekly meetings, reviews, and team communication sessions.
Photoshoot Support & Art Direction:
Oversee Art Directors in planning and managing photoshoots.
Ensure shoot concepts, styling, mood boards, and shot lists align with campaign strategy.
Review shoot outputs to ensure alignment with brand and creative direction.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Work closely with Brand, Production and Ecommerce teams.
Ensure clear communication of creative requirements, timelines, and deliverables.
Facilitate alignment between studio outputs and business objectives.
Support freelancer relationships to ensure consistent execution of creative work. Reporting & Continuous Improvement:
Track creative performance (design hours, delivery times, quality issues, etc.).
Provide regular updates to the Creative Leader on workload, risks, challenges, and wins.
Support post-campaign reviews and implement learnings into future creative processes. Identify opportunities to improve systems, templates, processes, and efficiencies.
Qualifications
Degree in Marketing or Design
8+ years' experience in Creative Leadership
Leadership and development skills, marketing strategy, research interpretation, creative concepts to deliver objectives, keeping abreast of developments within social and digital marketing, analytical ability, and fashion retail experience would be an advantage.
Understanding retail, marketing processes, the merchant processes, and the E-commerce business
Figma knowledge advantageous; insight into current design trends; brand awareness; communication skills; team mentoring; assist with art direction on photoshoots; multitasking and prioritizing workload.
