Purpose Statement
Support the development and optimization of credit monitoring frameworks, dashboards, and risk reporting solutions within our Collections environment. Key responsibilities include: Lead the implementation and continuous improvement of Collections monitoring processes and portfolio risk frameworks. Develop and enhance monitoring tools and dashboards to track credit risk and Collections portfolio performance. Analyze credit risk trends, identify patterns, and generate insights to inform Collections strategies. Implement automated monitoring processes and risk reporting mechanisms, identifying and recommending improvements. Drive data-driven process recommendations and analysis to strengthen Collections strategy and operational efficiency. Contribute to quality assurance of analytical work and support the development of team analytical capabilities.
Education (Minimum)
National Diploma in Economics or Commerce
Education (Ideal or Preferred)
A relevant degree in Economics or Commerce
Knowledge and Experience
Minimum:
4-6 years' experience in retail credit (policy and process enhancement)
Experience directly in, or supporting, an operational environment within financial services (credit preferred)
Ideal:
Hands-on SQL for querying and validating collections / credit data (core requirement).
Data analysis and reporting analysing how collections outcomes correlate with arrears and roll-rates, and reporting on the trends and relationships that emerge.
System knowledge able to learn and work across credit and collections systems and understand the underlying data.
Client-journey understanding able to connect data movements to what the client actually experiences.
Investigative / case-study analysis drilling into anomalies to establish root cause.
AI tools - practical use of AI (e.g. Claude, Microsoft Copilot) to work faster, with sound judgement on reviewing output.
