Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute a company-wide credit management strategy aligned with business and financial objectives.
Lead credit vetting, approval, and monitoring of customers across all trade channels.
Oversee the entire receivables function, ensuring collections are timely and within agreed credit terms.
Manage customer accounts, analyze payment trends, and mitigate credit risks through proactive interventions.
Drive continuous improvement in credit policies, systems, and procedures to enhance control and efficiency.
Collaborate with Sales and Finance teams to balance growth opportunities with prudent credit exposure.
Provide accurate and timely credit reports, debtor aging analyses, and cash flow forecasts to senior management.
Lead, mentor, and evaluate the credit control team to deliver on performance and compliance objectives.
Ensure adherence to company credit policy, internal controls, and relevant legal or regulatory frameworks.
Manage relationships with customers, legal counsel, auditors, and credit reference bureaus for effective debt recovery.
Skills and Qualifications Required.
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or equivalent
CPA- K or ACCA Qualifications required.
Excellent client relationship and communication skills
Proficiency in SAP accounting software.
Strong analytical, management, and problem-solving skills
High level of numeracy and attention to detail
High level of Integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism
