The Credit Monitoring Analyst is responsible for monitoring loan portfolios after disbursement to ensure timely repayments, identify early warning signs of credit risk, and ensure compliance with approved loan terms and credit policies.

Job Description


Collateral Strategy & Control: Manage the bank's collateral strategy, implement effective controls, and conduct regular mark-to-market analysis to ensure adequate facility coverage.


Monitoring & Reporting:


Implement and enforce the Collateral Inspection Plan.
Prepare and share key daily reports, including: Past Due Obligations (PDOs), Imminent Maturities and Newly Booked Facilities
Engage with Business Heads and Relationship Teams on key report insights.
Post-Disbursement Review: Ensure compliance with drawdown conditions and escalate exceptions for prompt resolution.
Early Warning & Risk Mitigation: Identify early warning signs of problem loans, escalate adverse credit developments to prevent
Appoint agents for stock monitoring and perform inventory spot checks.
Review warehouse reports and evaluate stock coverage breaches.
Develop performance metrics and manage vendor relationships, including onboarding, conflict resolution, and sanctions where necessary.


Credit Risk Oversight:


Participate in Criticized Assets Review Committee meetings to address high-risk assets.
Ensure all facilities operate within approved terms and follow up proactively on maturing obligations to avoid defaults.
Customer Engagement: Engage clients regularly through calls, emails, and in-person meetings to understand their needs, provide updates, and offer tailored financial solutions.
Feedback Collection & Resolution: Gather feedback through surveys or direct interactions, and promptly resolve issues or escalate concerns to the appropriate tea


Requirements


University degree or equivalent standard with a high numeric content: statistics, econometrics, business administration/ economics, mathematics, finance, etc.
2+ years practical experience
Experience with hands-on customer relationship management
Practical knowledge in credit risk working for a banking or non-banking financial institution
Experience with Customer experience services
