Key Responsibilities
Customs & Documentation


Prepare, verify, and submit import and export documentation, including:

Commercial invoices
Bills of lading / airway bills
Packing lists
Certificates of origin
Form M
PAAR


Liaise with customs authorities, freight forwarders, shipping lines, and internal teams to resolve clearance issues.
Vet supplier documents before shipment to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Track shipments, monitor clearance stages, and ensure timely processing to avoid delays or penalties.
Maintain accurate and organized records of all customs transactions and related documents.


Data Analysis & Reporting


Analyse customs and trade‑related data to identify:

Clearance delays
Documentation errors
Penalties and inspection trends
Duty, tariff, and tax exposures





Develop reports and dashboards tracking:

Import/export volumes
Clearance timelines
Customs costs and savings opportunities


Provide data‑driven insights and recommendations to improve documentation processes and operational efficiency.
Conduct periodic audits of historical customs records to ensure compliance and accuracy.


Customer & Stakeholder Collaboration


Serve as a key point of contact for customs documentation queries.
Work closely with internal teams to ensure smooth coordination across the clearance process.
Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying gaps, risks, and optimization opportunities.


Key Performance Indicators


Accuracy and completeness of customs documentation.
Reduction in clearance delays and documentation errors.
Timeliness of shipment processing and bank documentation (Form M, PAAR).
Quality and relevance of data insights and reporting outputs.
Compliance with customs regulations and internal controls.


Qualifications

Who We Are Looking For


Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business, Economics, Statistics, or Data Analytics.
2 - 5 years of experience in customs documentation, freight forwarding, or trade compliance.
Proven experience in data analysis within operational or compliance environments.


Competencies & Skills


Strong knowledge of customs procedures, import/export regulations, and HS codes.
Advanced proficiency in Excel; experience with Power BI, Tableau, SQL, or similar tools is an advantage.
High attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
Excellent communication and stakeholder coordination abilities.
Ability to manage tight deadlines in a fast‑paced logistics environment.
Ability to interpret and present complex data clearly.
Logistics industry experience preferred.
