The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring security events, investigating potential threats, identifying vulnerabilities, supporting incident response activities, and implementing measures to strengthen the organization's overall security posture.
The ideal candidate should possess strong knowledge of cybersecurity principles, security monitoring tools, threat detection, risk assessment, and incident management, with the ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with distributed IT and security teams in a remote environment.

Key Responsibilities

Monitor security alerts, logs, and events across networks, endpoints, applications, cloud environments, and other IT systems to identify suspicious activities.
Investigate security incidents, analyze potential threats, determine their impact, and recommend appropriate containment and remediation measures.
Operate and support security monitoring and analysis tools, including Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) platforms.
Analyze threat intelligence, indicators of compromise (IOCs), attack patterns, and emerging cybersecurity risks.
Conduct vulnerability assessments and support remediation efforts to reduce exposure to cyber threats.
Monitor endpoint protection, email security, network security, and access control systems for potential security weaknesses.
Support incident response activities, including evidence collection, incident documentation, escalation, and post-incident reviews.
Investigate phishing emails, suspicious links, malware alerts, unauthorized access attempts, and other potential security events.
Review system and application logs to identify anomalies, policy violations, and indicators of malicious activity.
Assist with security configuration reviews, patch management monitoring, and implementation of security controls.
Support identity and access management activities, including access reviews, least-privilege enforcement, and multi-factor authentication.
Help maintain security policies, procedures, incident response playbooks, and technical documentation.
Conduct periodic security assessments and support compliance with relevant security standards and organizational policies.
Collaborate with IT operations, network engineers, developers, and other security professionals to address identified risks.
Prepare security reports highlighting incidents, vulnerabilities, risk exposure, investigation findings, and recommended corrective actions.
Participate in security awareness initiatives to help employees recognize phishing attempts, social engineering, and other cyber threats.
Maintain confidentiality and follow established security procedures when accessing sensitive systems and information.
Work independently in a remote environment, maintain clear communication with team members, and meet agreed response times and reporting deadlines.
