Role Summary
We are looking for a Cybersecurity Analyst to help protect the organization's systems, networks, applications, and data from cyber threats.
The role involves security monitoring, vulnerability management, incident response, risk assessment, and implementation of security controls.
Key Responsibilities
Monitor security systems, networks, endpoints, and cloud environments for suspicious activity.
Investigate and respond to cybersecurity incidents.
Analyze security logs and alerts from SIEM, EDR, firewall, IDS/IPS, and other security tools.
Identify vulnerabilities and support remediation efforts.
Conduct security assessments and risk analysis.
Investigate phishing, malware, unauthorized access, and other security events.
Perform basic threat hunting and IOC analysis.
Support incident-response procedures, including containment and recovery.
Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and controls.
Monitor user access, authentication, and privileged accounts.
Assist with vulnerability scanning and penetration-testing activities.
Maintain accurate documentation of security incidents and investigations.
Support compliance with security standards such as ISO 27001, NIST, PCI DSS, or CIS Controls.
Keep up to date with emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and attack techniques.
Required Skills:
Understanding of cybersecurity principles and threat types.
Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, VPNs, firewalls, and networking.
Knowledge of Windows and Linux security.
Experience with SIEM platforms such as Microsoft Sentinel, Splunk, QRadar, or Elastic.
Familiarity with EDR/XDR solutions.
Knowledge of MITRE ATT&CK and common attack techniques.
Understanding of vulnerability management and risk assessment.
Basic scripting with Python, PowerShell, or Bash is an advantage.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
Qualifications
Degree or Diploma in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Relevant certifications are advantageous:
CompTIA Security+
CompTIA CySA+
CEH
BTL1
CISSP
GIAC certifications
Microsoft security certifications.
Experience:
Senior: 5+ years.
