Requirements :
BChD or BDS qualification, Current and valid registration with the HPCSA as a dentist in the category: Independent Practice, with a minimum two-years' experience post community service.
Completed Postgraduate Diploma in Forensic Odontology, or M.Sc. by course work in Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology (for Oral Pathology) and MSc in Oral Biology (for Oral Biology).
Experience in teaching and learning and clinical supervision of undergraduate students. The following will serve as an added advantage: CMSA or equivalent primaries in Anatomy and Anatomical Pathology will be an added advantage for the disciplines. Any demonstrated experience in research will be an added advantage.
Duties :
Render clinical services in the Diagnostic Radiography Unit. Teaching and clinical training in Anatomical Pathology, Oral Biology and Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology. Attendance and participation in all departmental meetings including seminars and journal discussions as per the arrangements of the department.
Lecturing of undergraduate and postgraduate students as needed in the department. Lecturing and clinical supervision of undergraduate and postgraduate students as needed in the department.
Fulfil duties independently and apply innovative approaches in day-to day work and challenges. Shortlisted candidates will be subjected to a proficiency test within the discipline.
