The International Institute of Tropical Agriculture seeks suitable Nigeria Nationals for the position below at the Institute's headquarter in Ibadan.
Duties
Perform basic dental procedure within the ambit of Dental Surgery Technologist e.g. Scaling and polishing
Provide preventive dental care
Prepare the dental operatory and ensure all instruments and materials are ready before procedures.
Assist the dentist during dental procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques.
Provide support with dental imaging
Ensure effective infection control and sterilization of instruments in compliance with medical protocols.
Monitor patient comfort and well-being during treatment.
Educate patients on post-procedure care and oral hygiene practices.
Maintain patient records and ensure accurate charting.
Schedule patient appointments and manage patient flow.
Maintain dental inventory and alert the supervisor about supplies that need to be
Ensure compliance with the facility's safety, health, and ethical guidelines.
Requirements
HND in Dental Surgery Technology or HND in Dental Technician, with a minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience performing similar functions in a structured organization.
