Job Description for Deputy Dean of Student
Advising the Student Governing Council (SGC) in matters concerning its functions and regulating its expenditure;
Administration of Students' Organization elections and overseeing its smooth transition;
Clearing of internal and external students' correspondence and providing secretarial assistance;
Coordinating in conjunction with the students' organization various types of entertainment for students.
Receiving students' disciplinary cases and processing them for Disciplinary Committee;
Supervising and coordinating all students' publication;
Maintaining a communication between the University administration and the students through their organization;
Helping in clearing students leaving the country in conjunction with the Ministry of Education;
Planning, preparing and directing student's welfare activities;
Keeping in safe custody all Students Organizations equipment and maintaining records of students' equipment;
Facilitating procurement of equipment and overseeing the management of Students Centre facilities; and
Any other duties as may be assigned by a Senior Officer.
Job Requirement for Deputy Dean of Student
Doctorate degree in a relevant field from a recognized institution
At least three (3) years' work experience in the relevant field
Knowledge of Information Communication Technology
Membership registration with a relevant professional body
Fulfilled the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya
