Key performance areas
Support the Head of the High School in the daily management and leadership of the school.
Assist with implementing school policies, procedures and strategic plans.
Oversee learner discipline, attendance, behaviour management and pastoral care.
Support and guide educators with curriculum delivery, classroom management and performance.
Monitor academic progress, assessment standards and learner results.
Assist with timetable planning, staff allocation and school operations.
Coordinate examinations, assessments and reporting processes.
Manage communication with parents, learners, staff and relevant stakeholders.
Support school events, assemblies, meetings and extra-curricular activities.
Assist with staff supervision, development, mentoring and performance management.
Promote a positive, safe and disciplined learning environment.
Qualifications, experience and skills
Relevant teaching qualification and registration with the appropriate professional body.
A minimum of 5 years\' teaching experience, with demonstrated leadership experience in a school environment.
Proven ability to lead and manage staff, learners, and school programmes effectively.
Strong understanding of curriculum implementation, assessment practices, and educational trends.
Experience in learner discipline, pastoral care, and wellbeing initiatives.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
Ability to build positive relationships with learners, staff, parents, and the wider school community.
Sound administrative and report-writing skills.
Strong commitment to the school\'s ethos, values, and vision.
Proficiency in the use of educational technology and school management systems.
