Job Purpose
The Deputy Head of Security Services Division is responsible for the overall operational and administrative duties within Security Services Division. The role holder is also responsible for the provision of a secure work environment, safety of members of Staff, customers and the Bank's assets.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Deputize the Head of Security Services Division.
Advisor/Alternate Advisor to the Management on security matters.
Craft Security strategies to inform the overall Bank's Strategic Plan.
Formulate and monitor the annual Security Services Division budget.
Liaise with external Government security agencies on matters of security interest to the Bank and the Nation.
Overall supervision of Security Operations of the Division in all Central Bank Branches and Centres.
Provide strategic leadership and guidance to the security teams at the Head Office, Branches and Centres.
Lead in periodic review of Security Policies, Procedures and Guidelines to match current security needs and address any identified gaps.9
Lead in periodic security risk assessment exercises for the Bank.
Manage the Performance Management Framework processes for the staff in Security Services Division.
Participate in joint operation meetings with other Bank Departments on matters relating to Security.
Member of the Business Continuity Planning committee.
Draft the annual security training needs and manage the staff training budget.
Coordinate and respond to Security Services Division Audit issues.
Coordinate and manage induction of new security officers.
Coordinate and manage Staff sensitization activities on security matters.
Conduct due diligence security background checks on new staff and service providers.
Participate in Tender and Procurement Committees.
Any other roles and responsibilities as may be assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications
A Bachelor's Degree in Security Management or a related field from a reputable university.
Professional qualification (s) in Security Management or its equivalent.
Work Experience
At least ten (10) years working experience with the Disciplined Services in the Grade of Chief Inspector and above.
