Position Overview
Our client is seeking a highly motivated Real Estate Associate to join our dynamic team.
The successful candidate will assist with a wide variety of real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, managing, and development.
This role offers an opportunity to work closely with the CEO & Board of Directors in a fast-paced environment.
Deputy Managing Director (DMD) acts as the second-in-command, bridging the gap between high-level strategic vision and day-to-day operational execution.
This role is vital for maintaining the momentum of property developments and investment portfolios while the Managing Director (MD) focuses on external stakeholder relations and long-term board goals.
Core Responsibilities
Operational Oversight: Managing the day-to-day business functions, including construction progress, property management, and maintenance.
Strategic Growth: Assisting the MD in formulating short- and medium-term strategies, identifying new market leads, and expanding the company's footprint.
Financial & Budgetary Control: Overseeing budget preparation, fund raising, optimizing expenses, and managing financial reporting to ensure project profitability.
Leadership & Staff Management: Mentoring department heads, overseeing recruitment, and fostering a productive organizational culture.
External Representation: Acting as the primary deputy in meetings with local & foreign authorities, communities, and key partners when the MD is available/unavailable.
Key Skills & Requirements
Educational Background: A Degree in Real Estate Management, Business Administration, finance or related fields; an MBA is often preferred for executive roles.
Industry Experience: Typically requires 10+ years in finance, real estate, construction, or asset management.
Technical/Financial Proficiency: Knowledge of real estate management and a strong grasp of real estate economics.
Soft Skills: High-level negotiation, crisis management, and the ability to influence diverse stakeholders. Entrepreneurial mindset with outstanding organization and leadership skills.
