We are looking for a DevOps Engineer to join our fast-growing team, working to decarbonise buildings and construction, currently responsible for around 40% of global carbon emissions.

The AI-powered software decarbonizes and drives sustainability across the construction value chain with scientific, easy-to-use, automated life-cycle assessment (LCA) and environmental product declarations (EPDs) to calculate and reduce the environmental impacts of building, infrastructure, and renovation projects and products.

You will join a supportive, effective, and mission-oriented team in a flexible, friendly and international work environment and have a great deal of autonomy in your role.

This full-time, permanent position is available on a remote basis for candidates who can work remotely in the European Time zone.

What you will do:
  •  Collaborate with and support development teams to optimize the deployment and operation of software systems.
  • Design, implement, and manage cloud-based infrastructure on AWS, focusing on Infrastructure as Code.
  • Implement and maintain centralized logging and monitoring solutions for microservices architectures.
  • Develop CI/CD pipelines, utilizing tools such as Jenkins and GitHub Actions.
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts.
  • Ensure system reliability, scalability, and security.
  • Continuously improve processes through automation and tooling.
What you need:
  • Strong experience with AWS cloud services, including but not limited to ECS, RDS, and Lambda.
  • Proficiency in scripting, including Bash, Python, or other scripting languages.
  • Solid experience in implementing centralised logging and monitoring for microservices, using tools such as ELK, CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools, such as Jenkins and GitHub Actions.
  • Knowledge of containerization and orchestration technologies.
  • Experience with Azure is considered a big plus.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Supportive mindset towards colleagues and strong teamwork skills.
  • Good communication skills in English as it is our working language.
Nice to have:
  • In-depth understanding of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices, with hands-on experience using Terraform or similar tools.
  • Experience with MLOps, DevSecOps, web application development, or testing frameworks such as Selenium or Playwright is a plus.
  • Experience in GIS databases
  • Experience in managing distributed, serverless, or containerized systems is highly beneficial.
