The DevOps Engineer role exists to bridge the gap between software development and IT operations by enabling faster, more reliable, and efficient delivery of applications and infrastructure.
The role focuses on collaboration, automation, and continuous improvement to enhance system stability, scalability, security, and overall productivity.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

CI/CD Pipeline Development & Maintenance


Design, implement, and manage Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.
Automate build, test, and deployment processes to support rapid and reliable software releases.


Infrastructure as Code (IaC)


Provision and manage infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation, or ARM templates.
Ensure environment consistency, version control, and repeatable, reliable deployments.


Cloud Infrastructure Management


Deploy, manage, and support systems on Microsoft Azure and other cloud or on‑premise environments where applicable.
Optimize cloud resources for scalability, performance, availability, and cost efficiency.


Monitoring, Logging & Alerting


Implement and maintain monitoring and observability solutions (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/EFK, Datadog).
Configure logs, alerts, and dashboards to detect performance issues and ensure abnormal activities are reported promptly.


Automation & Scripting


Automate routine and repetitive operational tasks using scripting languages such as Bash, PowerShell, or Python.
Improve system reliability by automating deployments, scaling, and recovery processes.


System Reliability & Incident Management


Support Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices including performance tuning, reliability engineering, and root cause analysis.
Participate in incident response, troubleshoot production issues, and contribute to post‑incident reviews and improvements.


Security & Compliance Integration (DevSecOps)


Embed security checks into CI/CD pipelines, including vulnerability scanning and code analysis.
Implement secure configurations, secrets management, and access controls in line with organizational and regulatory requirements.


Qualifications

KEY TECHNICAL SKILLS & COMPETENCIES


Microsoft Azure
Unix / Linux Shell Scripting
SQL
Database concepts
Strong collaboration, problem‑solving, and analytical skills


EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS


Minimum of 2 years' experience in a DevOps or related role
Hands‑on experience with Microsoft Azure
Exposure to banking or financial services applications is required


ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS & CERTIFICATIONS


Bachelor's degree in engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
Nice to have: Microsoft Azure certifications (e.g., AZ‑900, AZ‑104)
