About the Role
Afripoint Group Limited is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic DevOps Intern to join our Technology team.
The successful candidate will work closely with our developers and IT team to support software deployment, infrastructure management, automation, monitoring, and system reliability while gaining practical hands-on experience.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with the deployment and maintenance of applications.
Support CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes.
Assist in managing cloud infrastructure and development environments.
Monitor applications, servers, and system performance.
Support troubleshooting of deployment and infrastructure issues.
Assist with server configuration, backups, and system maintenance.
Learn and apply DevOps tools and best practices.
Maintain technical documentation and deployment procedures.
Collaborate with developers and other technical team members.
Carry out other technology-related tasks assigned by the supervisor.
Requirements
Currently studying or recently graduated in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field.
Basic understanding of Linux/Unix systems.
Basic knowledge of networking and system administration.
Familiarity with Git/GitHub or other version-control systems.
Basic understanding of cloud computing concepts.
Basic knowledge of Docker and CI/CD concepts is an advantage.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Willingness to learn and develop new technical skills.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Preferred Skills:
Knowledge or exposure to any of the following will be an advantage:
